- The pen-and-ink sketches from the book, the hand-drawn chart of Lostman’s River, and the drawings on the Sketchbook page are © Linda McKillop. Used with permission; please do not reproduce without asking.
- Field-guide art
- The fish plates, portraits, critters, boats, tackle, place scenes, chapter spots and emblems were generated with OpenAI’s image tool from the author’s written visual brief, then reviewed and corrected by the author. They are illustrations inspired by the book, separate from Linda’s originals, and not surveyed or scientific references.
