Terms
The plain version: you buy it once, it’s for your family, there’s a 30-day refund, and fishing is real so a grown-up should be along when it moves from the page to the water.
Who can buy
Any adult. By buying the Lostman’s River: Fishing Guide Experience you confirm that you are 18 or older, and that you are either the parent or legal guardian of the reader who will use it, or giving it to a family as a gift.
Giving it as a gift
The Experience makes a good gift for a grandchild, niece, nephew or a friend’s child. We email the link and a printable gift card to you, the buyer; pass them to the reader’s family. Their parent or guardian decides when and how their child uses it. Nothing is collected from the child either way. If the family loses the link, they can email help@lostmansriver.com and we’ll sort it out, or you can have it re-sent to your email at lostmansriver.com/restore.
What you get
A one-time purchase of $24.99. It gives your household a personal link that unlocks the Experience on as many of your family’s devices as you like: the narrated chapters, the missions, the badges and the printable license, together with the free companion site. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
Keep the link to your family
The link is the purchase, so anyone who has it can open your summer. Please don’t post or share it outside your household. If a link is shared widely we may replace it; we’ll send the new one to the email used at checkout.
Refunds
If it isn’t right for your family (or the family you gave it to), email help@lostmansriver.com within 30 days of buying and we’ll refund you in full. No questions asked. The link stops working after a refund.
Fishing is real
The Experience teaches real knots, tides, boats and fish, but it is a story and a learning companion, not instruction to fish unsupervised. Water, boats, hooks and wildlife can hurt people. A capable adult should supervise any fishing, boating or time near the water. Fishing rules change; check the current regulations with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (or your own state) before you go. We aren’t responsible for injuries or losses from activities inspired by the Experience.
The work is ours
The novel, narration, illustrations, missions and site are © Linda and John McKillop and McKillop Creative, LLC. Your purchase is for personal and family use; please don’t copy, resell or republish them. Some narration and illustration was made with AI tools from our own writing and directions, as noted on the site.
Changes and availability
We’ll keep improving the Experience and may change features. If we ever stop offering it, buyers will be told by email and given a way to keep the narration they paid for.
